As I wrote in my book The Silk Roads:  A New History of the World, the peoples, cultures and countries that form the basis of this wonderful exhibition are no exotic backwater, no obscure wastelands. Far from being on the fringe of global affairs, they lie at its very centre – as they have done since the beginning of history.

Professor and Author of "The Silk Roads: A New History of the World"

After the Venice Biennale we will planning a travelling exhibition (December 2019 - December 2020)

We plan to bring this exhibition to key destinations in Asia, Central Asia and Europe in order to engage local communities in thoughtful reflection about what Europe-Asia connectivity means and implies in today’s context.

June 1 - August 30, 2019

March 1 - May 15, 2020
